Frequently Asked Questions

How big are your cupcakes? At Jilly’s our everyday cupcakes are gourmet (jumbo) sized cupcakes. Once they are stuffed and decorated they weigh about a half pound each. Big enough to satisfy your sweetest desires. Or enough to share, if you dare!

Are these your only size cupcakes? Nope! Here at Jilly’s we also offer customers mini cupcake 12-packs. Minis are about a bite and a half and look exactly like their jumbo partners. Please contact us to make these cupcakes for special orders.

Finally, we have our regular sized (stuffed) cupcakes. These are smaller than our gourmet sized cupcakes and often come in four-packs. Straub’s sells our monthly cupcakes in regular sized four-packs. We’ve sold four-packs for holidays and other special events. Again, please contact us to make these cupcakes for special orders.

Should I put my cupcakes in the refrigerator? Jilly’s cupcakes do not like to be refrigerated. They do best in a cool, room-temperature environment. We suggest you eat your cupcakes the day you purchase them.

Is there a discount if I order a large amount of cupcakes? Jilly’s cupcakes are priced individually. If you order 12 gourmet cupcakes, you get the 13th cupcake free, which is a Simply Iced vanilla or chocolate.

Do you deliver? Yes, Jilly’s recommends 48-hours’ notice for the delivery of cupcakes and/or box lunches, catering, etc.

Is there a minimum for delivery? A minimum of 10 sandwiches, wraps, and/or salads are required for delivery. The only fee that applies is the delivery fee, which is based upon the order and the specific area in which the cupcakes are being delivered.

My company is interested in box lunches and catering and special cupcakes with our logo. Is this something Jilly’s does? Do you ship your products? Because Jilly’s cupcakes are best enjoyed fresh and the icing is so delicate, we are not shipping our cupcakes at this time. We will let you know if this changes in the future.

Can I have a private party at Jilly’s? We offer a room rental for up to 45 people. Perfect for a private party, a Sprinkle party, or any special occasion. Contact us at (314) 993-JILLY (5455) or catering@jillyscupcakebar.com. Please leave a phone number when you contact us so we can call you.

What is a Sprinkle party? A Sprinkle party is an event in which you can decorate your own cupcake. It includes the stuffing, icing, and sprinkles. Soft drinks and/or milk are provided. Price is $10/person and requires one week notice. Jilly’s Sprinkle parties can include cocktails, appetizers, and other food. Pricing varies.

Do you create custom cupcakes? Yes, we are more than happy to design and create any cupcake for any occasion. Please call (314) 993-JILLY (5455) for more information.

How far in advance do I need to place a special order? We are happy to fulfill any special custom order within 48-hours. If it is a larger cupcake order, please give us 2-3 days time. If you find yourself in a last-minute crunch, then we will do our very best to accommodate you in any way we can.

What about cupcakes for weddings? Jilly’s is happy to design cupcakes for your big day! We can custom create any color or style on any flavor/size of cupcake you’d like. Jilly’s also offers traditional 6″ topper cakes for the bride and groom to cut into, and we can also do groom’s cakes. Please email weddings@jillyscupcakebar.com for more information. How will my cupcakes be displayed? We would be happy to rent you one of our beautiful small or large stands, depending on the size of your event.

If I call ahead, then am I able to pick my favorite flavor? At Jilly’s, we have both everyday favorites and a monthly rotation. Although our cupcakes change regularly, please give us a call to see if we can accommodate your flavor selection.

I have a nut allergy. Can I eat your cupcakes? Although some of our cupcakes do not have nuts on top of them, all of Jilly’s cupcakes are made in a bakery where nuts and peanut dust are present.

Are any of your cupcakes gluten-free/sugar-free/vegan? At this time, we are sorry to say that all of our cupcakes contain gluten and are not vegan or sugar-free. We do offer a Cheesecake that has a nut/honey/toffee crust which is gluten free.

Does Jilly’s donate? Yes! Since we opened in 2007, Jilly’s has been committed to giving back to charities that are involved with helping and protecting children, cancer research, as well as many area-wide charities. However, we are already committed for the 2013 year and through June 2014.

What should I do if I’m interested in working for Jilly’s? Please stop in and fill out an application during the week from 2pm – 4pm. We will contact you if interested.

Does Jilly’s accept Bear Bucks? Yes! Whether you’re coming in for lunch, brunch, cupcakes or a special order, Jilly’s is now an approved vendor. Bear Bucks and Jilly’s new event space are a great way to commemorate the school year, send graduates off in style, and celebrate with friends and family.
